What happens when you combine enthusiastic volunteers, creative activities, and a school full of curious students? Pure magic – and that's exactly what unfolded during Special Interests Day at St. Aloysius School.
Our Shoreless Lake School students had the incredible opportunity to give back to the community by volunteering at this unique educational event. Special Interests Day is a wonderful tradition where parents, teachers, and friends come together to create hands-on learning stations that expose students to new experiences and potential interests they might never have discovered otherwise.
A Day Full of Discovery
The variety of stations available was truly impressive. Students at St. Aloysius could rotate through different activities, each designed to spark curiosity and provide practical, engaging experiences. From the glamorous Hair and Nail Salon station where students learned basic beauty techniques, to the action-packed Firefighting 101 station where they discovered what it takes to be a first responder, there was something for everyone.
The Adopt A Puppy station taught responsibility and animal care, while the Basketball and Pickleball stations got hearts pumping and introduced students to both classic and trending sports. For those with a more artistic bent, the Flower Pressing station offered a peaceful, creative outlet that combined nature with craft.

Our Students Step Up
Our Shoreless Lake School volunteers embraced their roles with enthusiasm and dedication. One group of our students took on the challenge of running the Alcohol Painting station, where St. Aloysius students learned this unique artistic technique that creates beautiful, flowing patterns and designs. Watching our students guide younger learners through the creative process was truly heartwarming – they demonstrated patience, creativity, and genuine care for each participant's artistic journey.
The impact went both ways. While the St. Aloysius students gained exposure to new activities and potential hobbies, our Shoreless Lake School volunteers developed leadership skills, gained teaching experience, and felt the deep satisfaction that comes from serving others.

Gratitude and Growth
The students at St. Aloysius were incredibly grateful for these new experiences, and their joy and excitement were evident throughout the day. We extend our heartfelt thanks to St. Aloysius School for inviting us to be part of this exciting event – thank you, St. Al's, for showing us that learning is always more fun when we do it together!
