SLS Students Excel in Knights of Columbus Knowledge Test

We are proud to announce that our sixth and eighth grade students demonstrated exceptional academic prowess in this spring's Knights of Columbus Knowledge Test. Our students showcased their talents in both Spelling and Mathematics, competing alongside peers from several other schools in our area during the local round. Only the highest-scoring students earned the opportunity to advance to the regional level of competition.

Our 6th grade students put forth an impressive performance. Gael earned 1st place in Spelling and 2nd place in Mathematics. Her outstanding spelling skills qualified her for the regional level of competition, where she secured 3rd place in Spelling. Tess achieved 2nd place in Spelling and claimed the top spot with 1st place in Mathematics. She advanced to the regional level competition where she represented our school admirably, though she did not place among the top finishers at that level.

Our 8th grade students also demonstrated remarkable academic excellence. Clara dominated both categories with 1st place in Spelling and 1st place in Mathematics, showcasing exceptional versatility across different academic disciplines. Despite her outstanding performance qualifying her for the regional level competition, Clara was unfortunately unable to attend the next round. Her achievement in the initial competition remains impressive nonetheless. Anne secured 2nd place in Spelling and 3rd place in Mathematics, demonstrating strong performance in both subjects. Though qualified to advance, she chose not to participate in the regional level competition. Laura earned 2nd place in Spelling and 3rd place in Mathematics, and embraced the opportunity to advance to the next competition level, representing Shoreless Lake School with distinction.

This prestigious competition provides our students with a valuable opportunity to showcase their academic abilities while developing essential skills in a competitive environment. We're incredibly proud of all our participants for their dedication to academic excellence and their commitment to representing Shoreless Lake School with integrity and determination among the many area schools participating.
