The main goal of Geography B is to familiarize students with the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. Because of the number of countries in these regions each lesson will cover approximately 2-3 countries. The introduction to each lesson consists of interesting facts about the countries, including local geography and history. Obviously, the current information about the countries is subject to change, but we have made it as accurate as possible at the time of writing. Students will study world geography in more detail in a later course.
The main goal of this course is for students to master the identification of each country on a map. By the end of the course, students should be able to map each of the countries studied, as well as certain capitals and other major cities. This requires some review in order for students to retain what they have learned.
